The International Journal of English Studies (IJES) is a double-blind peer review journal which seeks to reflect the newest research in the general field of English Studies: English Language and Linguistics, Applied English Linguistics, Literature in English and Cultural studies of English-speaking countries. We will give preference to keeping the balance amongst the areas and subareas belonging to English Studies whenever possible. It is published twice a year, in June and December. IJES is an open-access journal which grants free and total access to its content working under the Creative Commons Licence 4.0. (electronic version). It is indexed in SCOPUS, DICE, MLA, ERIH PLUS, SCImago Journal & Country Rank, Emerging Sources Citation Index and has recently been become part of the Journal Citation Report (JCR) database, among other. It ranks sixth within the first quartile of the Spanish Journals in the area of Linguistics.
