Abstract
The impressionist painting arrives to Spain in the late 19th century. Although its consolidation is more complex thain in other neighboring countries in Europe, it will be completely achieved with Aureliano de Beruete and Darío de Regoyos. The mainly worked genre is landscaping, the main character in the spanish impresionism painting and which origin goes back to an esthetic evolution that starts in romanticism, when it gets a real importance and it is already a major genre, going through a realist phase until culminating in impressionism.
