Abstract
El artículo aborda la relación entre la esencia y el destino del cristia‐ nismo; en particular, se centra en su carácter insoslayablemente católico y examina el sentido en el que puede afirmarse que la absoluta catolización (esto es: el cumplimiento del kerigma cristiano) es lo mismo que la nada. A tal efecto, problematiza la presunta dife‐ rencia entre fe y ateísmo, e introduce algunas consideraciones a propósito de cómo corresponde entender la vigencia del cristianismo en nuestra contempo‐ raneidad.
The paper addresses the rela‐ tionship between the essence and des‐ tiny of Christianity. In particular, it fo‐ cuses on its catholic nature and deals with the sense in which it can be af‐ firmed that absolute catholization (i.e. the fulfillment of the kerigma) is the same as nothing. To this end, it prob‐ lematizes the alleged difference be‐ tween faith and atheism, and introduc‐ es some considerations about what is Christianity today.
