Abstract
El artículo analiza el tema de la calidad
de la educación y subraya sus múltiples dimensiones, así como su construcción ideológica, social e histórica. Ofrece, en
particular, su legitimación desde la perspectiva de la justicia social. A partir de ese marco valora las dos reformas españolas más recientes. Argumenta y critica que la más reciente, la LOCE, responde a una visión conservadora y neoliberal. Concluye
proponiendo algunos referentes para una
escuela y educación de calidad, pública y
democrática.
This article analyses the educational qua lity from different perspectives and out lines its idelogical, social and historical construction. A summarized framework of some theories of social justice is proposed for describing and valuing the most recent spanish educational reforms, the LOGSE and LOCE. Particularly the current reform, LOCE, is criticized because its neoliberal and conservative orientaion. Finally, some challenges and considerations are propo sed for a publica and democratic educa tional quality.
