Abstract
Este artículo examina la historia de la traducción al ruso de los textos de L. Lévy-Bruhl, publicados en la URSS en 1930. Las connotaciones prehistóricas del término primitivo se enfatizaron deliberadamente en la traducción rusa, lo que debería haber permitido al lector rusófono establecer paralelismos entre las teorías de L. Lévy-Bruhl sobre el “pensamiento primitivo” y varias tesis de N. Ja. Marr sobre la “Nueva Teoría del Lenguaje”.
This article examines the history of the Russian translation of L. Lévy-Bruhl’s texts, published in the USSR in 1930. The prehistoric connotations of the term primitive were deliberately accentuated in the Russian translation, something that would have encouraged the Russianspeaking reader to draw parallels between L. Lévy-Bruhl’s theories on “primitive thought” and several theses of N.Ja. Marr’s “New Theory of Language”.
