Abstract
En este artículo se intenta realizar
una aproximación a los distintos procesos históricos
que han ido configurando las diversas percepciones
que los seres humanos hemos ido teniendo
acerca de la naturaleza y cómo de ellos se han derivado
o, si se prefiere, se han ido construyendo las
normas reguladoras de las relaciones mantenidas
subsiguientemente con nuestro entorno.
Tales normas o categorías estructurantes es a lo
que denominamos valores y estos son los que conforman
las diferentes respuestas de Jos sujetos ante
Ja realidad. Dado que, en numerosas ocasiones,
actuamos de acuerdo con nuestro nivel de conocimiento,
es preciso hacer del conocimiento del medio
una base sólida sobre Ja que se apoye el desarrollo
de las categorías que guían nuestra acción social e
individual. Conseguir este objetivo es el gran reto
que se le presenta a la Educación Ambiental y, con
ella, transcendiéndola, a Ja propia humanidad.
ABSTRACT: In this mticle we try an approximation to the different historical process which have shaped the human perceptions on nature, and their influence on the moral rules. Such rules are the most importan! framework of the so-called values on which are based the subjets' answers. The environment's knowledge is an important basis to the development of those values an their subsequent guidelines to act.
