Abstract
Hemos pasado de la noción de calificación a la noción de
competencia profesional, tratando de combinar el conocer
con el saber hacer. En este artículo desarrollo el concepto
de competencia profesional asociado a la educación para
responder a la pregunta: ¿qué competencias docentes se
desarrollan en la escuela democrática? Atendiendo a las
distintas tipologías presento algunas características básicas
vinculadas a la tarea docente dentro y fuera de las aulas. Por
ejemplo, organización del espacio de enseñanza–aprendizaje,
trabajo en equipo, participación en la resolución de
conflictos y en la gestión de los centros, así como la
utilización de las nuevas tecnologías.
We have moved from the notion of qualification to the notion of professional competence, in an attempt to combine academic knowledge and teaching skills. In this article, I develop the concept of professional competence associated to education, in order to answer the question, which teaching competences are developed by the democratic school? Taking into account different typologies I present basic characteristics related to the teaching task both inside and outside the classroom, such as the organisation of the teaching‐learning space, team‐work, participation on the resolution of conflicts and on the management of the schools and use of the new technologies.
