Abstract
This paper presents an interpretation of the Hesiod's anthropological conception. The myth of the ages and the Prometheus' passages insert the human being into an opossition that impose strict limits to their conduct. By this way, the religious dimension becames essential for the Hesiodic understanding of humanity. But this isn't limited to Hesiod: as we will see, this anthropological limits are the background of the archaic greek thinking and they are going to affect the later cultural productions of the classical Greece, such as the tragedy or the platonic and aristotelian philosophy.
