Abstract
La importancia de la figura del maestro resulta indiscutida. Indudablemente en el ámbito escolar el maestro tiene por excelencia un papel protagonista. El espacio temporal en el que se mueve el maestro en cada contexto sociohistórico ha sido decisivo para su planteamiento profesional. El modelo magisterial de la escuela tradicional, el 'magistrocentrismo', cedió el paso al paidocentrismo con lo que varía sustancialmente la figura del maestro.
The importance of the figure of the teacher remains unquestionable. Undoubtedly, the teacher holds preeminently a protagonist role in the school setting. The temporal space in which the teacher acts in every socio-historic context has been decisive for his/her professional planning. The magisterial model of the traditional school 'magister-focus' pattern gave way to a 'student-focus' pattern so as to change the teacher figure essentially.
