Abstract
his paper, in honour of professor José Romera, aims to show the semiotic constitution of 'bio-drama' or (auto)biographical theatre by examining two dramatic works: Borja Ortiz de Gondra's Los Gondra (una historia vasca) and José Ramón Fernández's La colmena científica o El caft de Negrín. Two approaches have been taken into consideration: Historio- graphy -what is memorable- and Anthropology -the familiarity of the everyday experience structures-. The details of family life and the institution of education, as host structures --dynamic interpretant-, make bio- graphy a very suitable subject for an artistic practice that seeks to dialogue with the current contingency that surrounds the human being -logical interpretant-. Fratricidal violence, refusal to forget, absence of forgiveness, confronted ideas, friendship, tolerance, commitment, liberty, education, etc., are, all of them, the immediate interpretants of the analysed texts.
