dc.description.abstractMotherhood is a recurring topic in Italian literature written by women and many recent literary studies have focused on the mother-daughter bound. Nevertheless, in these novels, it is more frequent to learn about mother-daughter relationships from the point of view of the daughter than from the mother’s view. The purpose of the following paper will be to discuss the possible causes that led to the silence of the mother’s voice and to analyze a new approach towards motherhood and mother-daughter relationship in three novels narrated through the mother’s view: I giorni dell’abbandono (2002) by Elena Ferrante; Lo spazio bianco (2008) by Valeria Parrella and La figlia sbagliata (2015) by Raffaela Romagnolo.es
dc.description.abstractLa maternidad es un argumento recurrente en la literatura italiana escrita por mujeres y ha derivado en recientes investigaciones acerca del vínculo maternofilial. Sin embargo, en estas novelas, es más frecuente conocer la maternidad y las relaciones madre e hija desde el punto de vista de la hija que desde la perspectiva materna. El propósito del presente estudio es analizar las posibles causas que han llevado al silenciamiento de la voz de la madre y examinar un nuevo acercamiento a la maternidad y a las relaciones maternofiliales en tres novelas narradas desde el punto de vista materno: I giorni dell’abbandono (2002) de Elena Ferrante; Lo spazio bianco (2008) de Valeria Parrella y La figlia sbagliata (2015) de Raffaela Romagnolo.es
