Description
Abstract
ABSTRACT: In this article I have joined three British social sciences —social anthropology, history and sociology—, or rather three methodological perspectives: the processualism of Victor W. Turner, the social history of E. P. Thompson and the theory of structuration of Anthony Giddens, in an attempt to engage in a discussion about a concept in common: the experience. I basically focus on two points: reflect on its definition, relevance and scope; and explain how and why recovers. Specifically, I seek not give a simple exposition of theoretical postulates of each of the authors but have a rapprochement between disciplines that promotes a “conversation” that points concordances and discrepancies.
