Abstract
Résumé: Tout au long du XVIIIéme siécle et en raison des nouveaux progrés scientifiques, l'on assiste dans toute l'Europe á une véritable éclosion de dictionnaires, d'encyclopédies et de répertoires lexicaux qui prétendent compiler et classer le nouveau flot de vocabulaire. L'apparition du dictionnaire monolingue donne un élan décisif á la publication d'ouvrages á classement alphabétique qui facilitaient au lecteur une consultation plus aisée et plus rapide. Nous nous intéressons plus particuliérement aux parties communes á tous ces ouvrages lexicographiques telles que l'Avis au lecteur, l'Avant-Propos, la Préface et autres: elles éclairent profondément tout ce qui a trait tant á la composition qu'á la publication et la diffusion de l'ouvrage. Dans cet article, nous analysons le paratexte dans un corpus composé de quatre dictionnaires monolingues français de termes agricoles: ces ouvrages contribuérent á la diffusion et á la vulgarisation de la nouvelle terminologie agricole liée aux récents progrés réalisés dans ce domaine.
Abstract: Throughout the XVIII Century, and due to the new scientific innovations, a great variety of dictionaries, encyclopedias and lexical repertoires appeared all over Europe. These materials became necessary in order to collect and order the new lexical entries. The apparition of monolingual dictionaries fostered in a decisive manner the apparition of materials that were ordered according to alphabetical criteria, which allowed a faster and more comfortable check by readers. My main interest within this field of study is related to those elements of compulsory usage (Avis au lecteur, Avant-Propos, Préface, etc.) that appeared with the main text and offered a greater insight into the composition and publication and distribution processes of the work. In this paper I will analyze the paretext of a corpora of four French monolingual dictionaries that focus on agriculture and that contributed to the dissemination and divulgation of the new agricultural terminology that were linked to the recent advances in the field.
