Résumé: Dans cet article nous illustrerons l’usage de la terminologie dans la pratique professionnelle de l’interprétation et les implications pédago
giques de la préparation terminologique dans le cadre de l’Espace Européen d’Enseignement Supérieur. En premier lieu, nous exposerons les fonctions de la terminologie et quelques-unes des difficultés inhérentes à la compréhension et la traduction du vocabulaire spécialisé, non réper
torié auxquels les interprètes sont confrontés quotidiennement. Ensuite nous présenterons un glossaire multilingue (français-anglais-espagnol) portant sur des termes de changement climatique conçu pour comme préparation du Sommet de Copenhague de décembre 2009.
Abstract: This article illustrates the use of terminology in the professional practice of interpreting and explains some pedagogical applications of ter minological preparation within the framework of the European Space for Higher Education. To begin with, the paper describes the functions of terminology in the interpreting practice. It describes the difficulties of comprehension and translation of specialized vocabulary encoun tered by professional interpreters in their daily practice. It presents the result of a classroom practice preparing a multilingual glossary for the UN Summit on Climate Change in Copenhagen in December 2009.
