Abstract
Ante la muerte inevitable, el hombre,
especialmente en la vejez, se plantea siempre
su porqué, y pasa por una serie de estados psicológicos que, en ocasiones, le impiden disfrutar de la vida. Para afrontar estos miedos, preocupaciones, etc., es necesario conocer mejor la muerte, y en este objetivo, el educador puede ejercer una labor fundamental, ofreciendo ideas y propuestas
que pueden ayudar a las personas mayores a conocer, comprender y afrontar muchos de los aspectos negativos de la muerte. También se incluye un apartado sobre el suicidio en el anciano.
Abstract: Faced with the unaivodable death, man, specially at old age, asks himself about its reasons; and he passes through different psychological states which hinder him from enjoying his life. For dealing with these fears and anxiaties, it is necessary to know much more about death, for achieving this objective the teacher may have an essential role, offering ideas and solutions that may help older people to know, understand and to face with many of the negative aspects of death. It is also included a section about suicide at elderly.
