Description
Abstract
This article analyses the conflict around the "rise in the price of public transport" in the city of Santiago in 2019 (immediate antecedent of the Chilean revolt). Placing ourselves within the Program of programs (Camus & Lescano, 2021), we describe the composition of the semantic space of this conflict, the main feature of which is its expansive dynamics. We shall see that this conflict has been structured, fundamentally, through mechanisms of displacement (changes in the subjects of conflict) and linkage (relations with other semantic spaces). These mechanisms gave the decision to increase the price of transport a secondary place. The extension of the conflict to the entire socio-political space has resulted in the abandonment of this measure becoming a virtually absurd provision.
