Abstract
Vattimo

Vattimo resurrects God from his dialectical grave, the one in which he had been co nfined after the famous sentence "God is dead". But the God who dies is an impostor: the metaphysics - distant Almighty God. Since the end of the 20th century, our author claims, especially through three works (Believe it is believed, After Christianity and The future of religion), the experience of love - charity as the limit, the only possibility to unmask and weaken the structures of power - violence in all areas of life. Thus, he returns to his latent belief in Jesus, a love - god with small letters, from whom he kept away for a time, to try to give reasons for his faith. Pope Francis is for him a clear reference and example of where the authentic Church of Jesus should walk in its theological - political projection.
