Description
Abstract
Dancing is one of the oldest forms of therapy, musical intervention and artistic expression for human beings. Its close relationship with myths and ritual forms dates from ancestral times, and is tied to our basic formulation of symbolic and abstract procedures. We propose some basic techniques for stretching and warming up as preparation for dancing activities. We also analyse the structures of social relationships and the possibilities for integration through choreography. Some ideas about personal achievement, self-identification and improvement of corporal coordination are suggested and related to collective dance. Choreographic creation must be stimulated as a way of expression and some structural patterns to initiate in are offered here.
