Abstract
Este artículo propone redefinir la noción sufí del maestro espiritual (šayḫ) en el
contexto moderno contemporáneo, considerándolo como un “dispositivo” más que como
un individuo. Esta perspectiva nos permite situar en el centro de la realidad del maestro
los objetivos de develación (kašf) y desprendimiento (taǧrīd) que son centrales en el camino espiritual sufí. Por lo tanto, es particularmente relevante redefinir la función educativa del
maestro en la diversidad de las configuraciones contemporáneas, reformulando los propósitos
de su función y los principales desafíos de la educación espiritual de forma adaptable a todas
las situaciones particulares.
This article proposes to redefine the Sufi notion of the spiritual master (šayḫ) in the contemporary modern context, considering him as a "device" rather than an individual. This perspective allows us to place at the center of the master's reality the goals of unveiling (kašf) detachment (taǧrīd) that are central to the Sufi spiritual path. It is therefore particularly relevant to redefine the educational role of the master in the diversity of contemporary configurations, redefining the purposes of their role and the main challenges of spiritual education in a way that is adaptable to all particular situations.
