- PublicationOpen AccessInfluencia de la ubicación de las miniporterías y los comodines en la enseñanza del fútbol(Universidad de Murcia: servicio de publicaciones, 2025) Martín-Barrero, Alberto; Pérez-Hierro, Carlos; Flores-Rodríguez, José; Sin departamento asociadoThis study analysed the influence of the location of floaters players and mini-goalposts on the technical-tactical behaviour of players in training tasks in grassroots football. The tactical behaviour of 12 players (11.6 ± .4 years old) belonging to the alevíncategory [U12]of a La Liga Santander team was analysed in 4 tasks (5vs 5 + 2 floaters players) with different constraints: i) floaters players and goalposts in the central area, ii) floaters players in the central area and goalposts in the side zone, iii) floaters players in the side zone and goalposts in the central area and iv) floaters players and goalposts in the side zone. The polar coordinates analysis showed different types of offensive and defensive tactical behaviour in the different tasks, highlighting the greater number of actions in the central area with floaters players and goalposts in the same area. On the other hand, it was highlighted that when the goalposts were located in lateral areas, on an offensive level the ball tended to be initiated in these areas, circulating through a greater number of areas of the field, through a greater number of passes and having greater variety and success in finishing. This would help to improve task design in relation to the type of behavior desired during training
- PublicationOpen AccessPequeños juegos en el baloncesto: efecto de la manipulación de reglas del bote en el desempeño táctico-técnico de los jugadores de baloncesto en la categoría sub-16(Universidad de Murcia: servicio de publiaciones, 2025) Rosso, Tomaz Lemos; Reis, Cleiton Pereira; Praça, Gibson Moreira; Morales, Juan Carlos; Sin departamento asociadoThe objective of this study was to verify the effects of dribbling rule manipulation during small basketball games (PJ) in 3x3 tactical configuration with dribbling prohibition (PJPD), with the limitation of two dribbles (PJ2D) and without the limitation of Dribbles (PJD), on the technical-tactical performance of under-16 basketball players. 18 Basketball athletes participated in 36 PJ, 12 PJPD, 12 PJ2D and 12 PJD. The duration for each PJ was 4 minutes, with a 4 minutes recovery. The PJ were performed in random order on half a basketball court (8.4x15m) using only one table. The Individual Technical-Tactical Performance Assessment Instrument in Basketball was employed to verify the effects of dribbling rule manipulation during the PJ. The data were treated through descriptive statistics and estimated general equations. The effect size (T) was calculated by Cramer's V. The critical value adopted was p≤0.05. The results identified significant difference in technical-tactical performance between the PJ for decision-making (TD) and efficacy (EFI) in the pass (TD: Wald = 38.48; GL = 2; P = .0001; V = .68; EFI: WALD = 38.41; GL =2; p = .001; v =.09; SE: small). It is concluded that the three manipulations of the dribble rule determined differences in the technical-tactical performance of the basketball players who participated in this study.
- PublicationOpen AccessPercepciones y Significado del Legado: La Visión de Deportistas Paralímpicos Chilenos antes de los Juegos Parapanamericanos de Santiago 2023(Universidad de Murcia: servicio de publicaciones, 2025) Martínez Aros, Alan; Muñoz-Hinrichsen, Fernando; Cuevas, Valeria; Landero, Nicolas; Reyes, Matías; Haupt, Matías; Palacios, Daniela; Cortés, Valeria; Silva, Tamara; Sin departamento asociadoThe Santiago 2023 Parapan American Games, held for the first time in Chile, had an impact that transcended sports, leaving a significant legacy in the social, sporting, urban, and environmental spheres. This qualitative research seeks to interpret the meaning that Chilean Paralympic athletes, with or without prior experience, attribute to the Games from the perspective of legacy.Methodology: A qualitative methodology based on the Grounded Theory method, within a constructivist paradigm, was used to understand the meanings that athletes attribute to the Parapan American Games. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with eight athletes (four men and four women), selected by convenience, including athletes with and without previous Parapan American Games experience. The interviews took place between August and October 2023. Open-ended questions allowed for the exploration of perceptions regarding the social, sporting, urban, and environmental legacies. Data analysis was carried out using ATLAS.TI software (version 2023), applying a constant comparison approach to identify emerging patterns and categories. The study was approved by the Ethics Committee of Universidad Diego Portales (project #28 –2023).Results: The social legacy is the most significant, as athletes highlight the persistent discrimination toward people with disabilities in Chile. In terms of the sporting legacy, inclusive facilities are appreciated, but challenges in infrastructure and funding persist. The urban legacy raises expectations about improved city accessibility, although there are concerns about the sustainability of these advances. Finally, regarding the environmental legacy, athletes express concern over the lack of awareness about waste management and the sustainability of the event. Conclusion: The Santiago 2023 Parapan American Games are perceived as a crucial opportunity to promote inclusion and generate social changes, but athletes express uncertainty about the long-term sustainability of these legacies.
- PublicationOpen AccessEvaluación de las funciones cognitivas en un grupo de esquiadores y snowboardersde alto rendimiento en Argentina(Universidad de Murcia: servicio de publicaciones, 2025) Raineri-Andersen, Victoria; Spraggon, Lucía; Calzolari, Aldo; Sin departamento asociadoSports neuropsychology is the study of cognitive functioning in athletes, and the understanding that individual characteristics affect their athletic performance. When it comes to high-performance sports, at a cognitive level, strengths and weaknesses can affect the results of competitions, favoring or hindering the achievement of success. In this series of cases, the neurocognitive profiles of eight cross-country skiers, freeskiers and freestyle snowboarding athletes, all of whom are part of the Argentine teams represented by Argentine Federation of Skiing and Mountaineering (FASA), are described. The mean age of the participants was 20.4 years ± 3.5.yearsr. These athletes were evaluated in the following cognitive domains: fluid and crystallized intelligence, information processing speed, attentional processes, inhibitory control, working memory, cognitive flexibility, incidental learning capacity, and auditory-verbal memory. For this purpose, a structured oral interview was applied, along with subtests from the Weschler Adult Intelligence Scale (Analogies, Vocabulary, Cube Construction, Matrix Reasoning, Digit Span, Number and Letter Sequencing, Symbol Search, and Number Keys), the d2 test, the Wisconsin Card Sorting Test (WCST), the Rey-Osterrieth Complex Figure (ROCF), and the Rey Auditory Verbal Learning Test (RAVLT). Was also analyzed the existence of patterns of homogeneity in terms of the strengths and weaknesses of these profiles. The results obtained suggest that the cognitive profiles described present heterogeneous patterns of strengths and weaknesses. A higher degree of homogeneity was found in measures of intelligence, processing speed, working memory and cognitive flexibility. Attentional processes, incidental learning, and auditory-verbal memory presented greater heterogeneity. The need to carry out evaluations that allow knowing the profiles of cognitive strengths and weaknesses of each athlete is clear, to design physical and cognitive training programs that adjust to individual needs
- PublicationOpen AccessEficacia de Programas Multicomponentes de Actividad Física y Nutrición sobre la Capacidad Laboral, el Bienestar Laboral y la Calidad de Vida en Trabajadores: Una Revisión Sistemática(Universidad de Murcia: Servicio de publicaciones, 2025) Rubio-Díaz, Sandra; Morales-Sánchez, Verónica; García Romero, Jerónimo; Sin departamento asociadoEating healthy and exercising regularly not only improves health, but also contributes to well-being, satisfaction and performance in the work environment. These practices help to increase energy levels, reduce stress and strengthen the ability to concentrate, which improves performance and quality of life at work. However, although interventions that combine physical activity and nutrition have demonstrated benefits, there is still a need to better understand their specific impact on quality of life, occupational well-being and work capacity. Therefore, the aim of this review was to analyze the effectiveness of interventions in improving these aspects in workers. A systematic review was performed following the PRISMA Statement, using four databases: PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus and PsycINFO. In addition, a specific search was carried out in journals specialized in psychology and sport, including Frontiers in Psychology, Sustainability, Psych, Revista de Psicología Aplicada al Deporte y el Ejercicio Físico, E-balonmano.com and Cuadernos de Psicología del Deporte. We included randomized controlled trials in work contexts that provided well-being, quality and capacity outcomes in workers, published between 2000 and 2024, assessed with validated questionnaires and in any language. Quality was assessed using the Physiotherapy Evidence Database (PEDro) scale and the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) critical appraisal tool for randomized controlled trials. The protocol was previously registered in PRÓSPERO with the identification CRD420543858.Fifteen studies were included. The mean quality was 6.2 out of 10 on the PEDro scale or moderate according to the JBI scale. All interventions conducted in the work setting included nutrition and physical activity, along with other components such as health education talks and sleep improvement strategies. Statistically significant improvements were obtained in 83.3% of the studies assessing work capacity (5 of 6), 60% of the studies looking at work well-being (6 of 10) and 44.4% of the studies measuring quality of life (4 of 9). However, only 33.3% of the studies (5 out of 15) evaluated these aspects as their main objective, while the rest considered them as secondary objectives. The work environment is optimal for health interventions aimed at improving workers' capacity, well-being and quality of life. However, more high quality studies and standardized methodologies are needed that prioritize the evaluation of well-being and quality of work life from an integral approach, including physical and psychosocial aspects, in addition to the participation of specialists in each area
