The aim of this study was to analyse the frequency of physical activity and the perception of the subject of physical education among secondary school students. The sample consisted of 107 secondary school students (48 boys and 59 girls) from the province of Seville, aged between 12 and 16. A survey was used, consisting of the 3CEF questionnaire, which is used to find out the students' perception of physical education classes, and the PAQ-C questionnaire, which aims to assess the frequency of physical activity of the person over the course of a week. The results indicate high student motivation and satisfaction with the subject, with better results for boys than for girls. The study demonstrates the influence of physical education on the adherence to extracurricular sports practice, which is of vital importance for the personal development of the student.
