Abstract
La Educación Infantil en España ha reflejado, en general, los valores de calidad, atención a la diversidad y lucha por la equidad propios de la escuela pública, siendo un espacio de encuentro y de innovación. Sin embargo, estas características han sido tergiversadas por razones de diversa índole. En este artículo se analizan dichas razones y se presentan cuestiones que conviene tener en cuenta para que no abandone
el reto de ser de todos y para todos, desenvolviéndose dentro del marco de la atención y el cuidado del bienestar de la infancia.
Early childhood education in Spain has reflected, in general, the values of quality, attention to diversity and the struggle for equality typical of state education, being a meeting point and a forum for innovation. However, these characteristics have been distorted due to various reasons. This article discusses these reasons and presents questions that should be considered in order not to abandon the challenge of education being for everyone, implemented within the framework of a focus on care for the welfare of children.
