Abstract
El presente trabajo analiza los medios lagunares y húmedos costeros del Mediterráneo centro-occidental desde una perspectiva interdisciplinar, integrando datos arqueológicos, geoarqueológicos y textuales. Se examinan la problemática terminológica y la evolución paleoambiental de estos paisajes, así como su papel en las dinámicas económicas y territoriales de la Antigüedad. Asimismo, se abordan las dificultades metodológicas derivadas de su naturaleza dinámica y de las transformaciones postantiguas, destacando la necesidad de enfoques contextuales para su correcta interpretación.
This study examines the lagoonal and coastal wetland environments of the central western Mediterranean from an interdisciplinary perspective, integrating archaeological, geoarchaeological, and textual evidence. It explores the terminological challenges and the paleoenvironmental evolution of these landscapes, as well as their role in the economic and territorial dynamics of Antiquity. The work also addresses the methodological difficulties arising from their inherently dynamic nature and from post ancient transformations, highlighting the need for contextual approaches to ensure their proper interpretation.
