Abstract
Dada la gran relevancia de la regresión múltiple en ciencias de la educación y, en general,
en ciencias sociales y del comportamiento, se demuestra a través de tres casos que en ciertas
circunstancias el cuadrado de la correlación múltiple es mayor que la suma de los cuadrados de
las respectivas correlaciones simples.
The multiple regression has a great relevan ce in educational research, and, in general, in social and behavioral sciences. In this paper it is demonstrated that the square of multiple correlation coefficient, thorough some circunstances, is greater than the sum of squares of simple correlations coefficients. It is presented in three cases.
