Abstract
El análisis y la revisitación de fuentes primarias se erige como el principal objetivo del
presente documento, en el cual se profundiza en el conocimiento de la Antigüedad Tardía
circunscrita al área de la antigua provincia peninsular de la Tarraconense. No sólo la exégesis de
fuentes próximas a la región y contemporáneas a los hechos forma parte de esta investigación
sino también el estudio de la repercusión y del tratamiento de esta información en las últimas
publicaciones científicas que se refieren a estos hechos. A partir de la simbiosis entre fuentes
primarias y fuentes secundarias, hemos buscado detallar cómo ha tratado el análisis histórico la
época visigoda en el sector nororiental de la península Ibérica.
The analysis and revisiting of primary sources is the main objective of this document, which deepens our knowledge of Late Antiquity in the area of the ancient peninsular province of Tarraconensis. Not only the exegesis of sources closes to the region and contemporary to the events is part of this research, but also the study of the impact and treatment of this information in the latest scientific publications that refer to these events. Based on the symbiosis between primary sources and secondary sources, we have sought to detail how historical analysis has treated the Visigothic period in the north-eastern sector of the Iberian Peninsula.
