Abstract
El presente texto es un homenaje a don Francisco José Flores Arroyuelo,
acreditado escritor e investigador que ha sido profesor de Filología, Literatura y
Etnografía en la Universidad de Murcia. Fue el primer presidente de la Asociación
Flamenca de la Universidad de Murcia y en su honor revisamos la función de los
intelectuales en apoyo del flamenco en España y en la región de Murcia, desde los
escritos marcados por la exaltación poética del jondo hasta los más recientes e
imprescindibles estudios musicológicos.
The present text is a tribute to don Francisco José Flores Arroyuelo, credited writer and investigator that has been professor of Philology, Literature and Ethnography at the University of Murcia. He became the first president of the Flamenco Association of the University of Murcia an d, in his honor, we revise the intellectuals’ function in favor of flamenco in Spa in and in the region of Murcia, from the signaled writers for the poetic exaltation of F lamenco until the most recent and essential musicological studies.
