dc.description.abstractEste trabajo ofrece una reflexión general sobre la situación, los valores y la importancia de la escritura en la arqueología. Se constata la falta de interés disciplinar por la misma hasta hace alrededor de 25 años. Se presentan orientaciones sobre cómo mejorar las narrativas para comunicar mejor y se discuten alternativas subversivas: textos palimpsesto, inclusión de la ficción y textos dialogados. Las ilustraciones tienen un gran valor en arqueología y constituyen otra forma de texto. La escritura arqueológica es, de alguna manera, una artesanía con necesidad de algunas normas que garanticen su calidad y se incide especialmente en el valor de los sistemas de referencia y las citas. Por último, se esbozan los rasgos generales y algunos problemas de los principales géneros: monografías, artículos, reseñas y textos de divulgación.es
dc.description.abstractThis paper offers a general overview on the state and values of archaeological writing and its relevance for the discipline. There has been a traditional lack of interest on writing in the last 25 years. We present forms for developing better narratives of the past, and we discuss subversive ways of writing: palimpsest texts, fictions and dialogues. Illustrations have a great value and in some way they tell stories in other style. Archaeological writing is a craft with some norms as quality guaranties, specifically citation systems. Finally, general characteristics and problems of the main genres (monographs, papers, reviews and popular texts) are outlined.es
