Abstract
El Festival Internacional de las Culturas Pirineos Sur es un festival consolidado y de
éxito. Pese a ello, su organizador, la Diputación Provincial de Huesca, necesitaba conocer
con detalle el perfil del público asistente, el grado de fidelidad que genera y hasta qué punto
supone un recurso turístico para la zona. Para cumplir dichos objetivos se llevó a cabo una
encuesta in situ a 664 personas. Los resultados ponen de manifiesto que la edad influye tanto
en las actividades a las que se asiste como en el alojamiento elegido y el gasto. El grado de
fidelidad es elevado. El Festival es claramente un recurso turístico de gran importancia para
el Valle de Tena, lugar de celebración del evento.
ABSTRACT: The International Festival of Cultures Pirineos Sur is a successful consolidated festival. Nonetheless, the organizer, Diputación Provincial de Huesca, needed to get to know in detail the profile of the audience, its loyalty and in what extent the Festival is a tourism resource for the territory. In order to achieve those objectives, an in situ survey to 664 people was undertaken. Results show that the age of the audience influences the activities they attend as well as the kind of accommodation and the expenditure. The degree of loyalty is high. The Festival is clearly a tourism resource of great importance for the Valle de Tena, where the event takes place.
