Description
Abstract
The editing process that manuscripts went through to become a printed product during the Golden Age is studied. This complex framework in which the interests of the author came into play with those of the printer has left clues in different documentary testimonies. Among these we find the printing contracts, the powers and the obligations, thanks to which we can reconstruct the attitude expressed by the authors before the publication of their works. This article addresses the role played by José de Moret in the edition of his texts in Navarre in the second half of the 17th century, which shows us the control he exercised over the different printers who printed his works. Keywords: Old book; printing; Pamplona; José de Moret; XVIIth century.
