dc.description.abstract	Canto general es manifestación de una retórica intercultural en América Latina y trabaja en cuatro niveles: la lengua, la estructuración literaria, las estructuras figurativo-simbólicas y la cosmovisión. El poeta emplea un registro heterogéneo desde el formal hasta el coloquial; asimismo, estructura su texto como un poema épico-lírico, utiliza un vasto registro metafórico y rinde culto a la piedra a la manera de las civilizaciones amerindias. Además, en Canto general aparece la figura del sujeto migrante, descentrado, que se desplaza de lugar dinámicamente y cuya memoria se halla fragmentada. Así, Neruda recrea, la historia de América Latina desde sus orígenes hasta nuestros días.	es
dc.description.abstract	Canto general is an expression of intercultural rhetoric in Latin American and unfolds at four defined levels: 1) the one of language, 2) of literary structure, 3) of figurative and symbolic structures and 3) of world vision. The poet displays an ample register, from the formal to the colloquial, while framing his work within the parameters of epic genre. His metaphoric spectrum is wide and pays tribute to the various pre-Columbian cultures. Furthermore, in Canto general we find the displaced individual, the decentered one that moves from one place to the other in a dynamic manner, and one whose memory is fragmented besides. Thus, Neruda traces Latin American history back from its origins to present day.	es
