Abstract
En el presente estudio. partiendo de una muestra de pacientes neurológicos,
se realiza un estudio respecto al poder discriminante y clasificatorio del
WAIS frente a la batería neuropsicológica de Halstead, partiendo de la hipótesis
de que la batería de Halstead nos proporciona una base más sólida para
llevar a cabo una valoración del deterioro neuropsicológico y consiguientemente
un mejor diagnóstico.
Nuestros resultados apuntan hacia el hecho de que no podemos descartar
una u otra metodología, sino que en función de la patología a diagnosticar se
podría adoptar una u otra.
In the present study, from a sample of neurologic patíents, we have ca· rried out a study respect to the discriminant and classifying power ofwechsler's adult scale as opposed to Halstead's neuropsychological battery, supposing that Halstead's battery gives us a more solid basis for carrying out a valuation of a neuropsychological damage and therefore a better diagnosis. Our results aim towards the fact that we can 't discard any of the two methodologies when interested in givíng a diagnosis. Depending of the pathology we could use one or another.
