dc.description.abstractLa presente investigación tiene por objeto identificar y analizar las series documentales pertenecientes a la Delegación de la Causa de los Santos correspondiente al fondo diocesano de los Archivos Eclesiásticos de Mérida – Badajoz. Dicha Delegación, institucionalmente gestionada por las Vicarías episcopales del Arzobispado, se encarga funcionalmente de la gestión documental de los martirios sufridos por determinadas personas como consecuencia de la Guerra Civil Española. El análisis institucional, las técnicas archivísticas y el examen histórico son los recursos metodológicos que se han seguido. Como resultado, se identifican las series específicas y relacionadas con la causa del martirio, lo cual nos permitirá conocer de forma exhaustiva los expedientes personales y la documentación vinculada de todos aquellos que fueron partícipes en la persecución religiosa de 1936, así como ofrecer a los investigadores posibles líneas de investigación partiendo de su análisis.es
dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this research is to identify and analyze the documentary series belonging to the Delegation of the Cause of the Saints, corresponding to the diocesan archives of the Ecclesiastical Archives of Mérida - Badajoz. This Delegation, institutionally managed by the Episcopal Vicariates of the Archbishopric, is functionally responsible for the document management of the martyrdoms suffered by certain individuals as a result of the Spanish Civil War. Institutional analysis, archival techniques, and historical examination are the methodological resources that have been followed. As a result, specific series related to the cause of martyrdom are identified, which will allow us to comprehensively understand the personal files and related documentation of all those who were involved in the religious persecution of 1936, as well as provide researchers with possible lines of investigation based on their analysis.es
