dc.description.abstractLa llegada de inmigrantes de países con distintas culturas plantea retos en la sociedad receptora. La mediación intercultural surge por la llegada de inmigrantes en la última década y la necesidad de entendimiento entre las diferentes culturas y la sociedad autóctona para favorecer una sociedad multicultural. El objetivo de este trabajo es hacer una reflexión sobre la mediación intercultural en salud, mediante análisis bibliográfico, ya que el hecho de ser un enlace entre personas culturalmente diferentes no capacita para ser considerados mediadores interculturales. Entre las barreras que se encuentran en el contexto de la mediación intercultural están la dificultad en la interpretación, que no haya formación conjunta de mediadores y agentes de salud, la carga psicológica, una formación no estandarizada. El escaso reconocimiento por parte de los profesionales sanitarios y el gasto económico que supone la introducción de una nueva figura profesional hacen que no se vean los efectos positivos que provocan los mediadores interculturales en los sistemas sanitarios de salud.es
dc.description.abstractThe arrival of inmigrants from countries with different cultures set challenges in the receiver society. The intercultural mediation emerges because of the arrival of inmigrants during the last decade and the understanding necessity between the different cultures and the autochthonous society in order to promote a multicultural society. The objective of this study is to think about the intercultural mediation in health, by means of a bibliographical analysis, as the factor of being a link between people from different cultures does not enable for being considered as intercultural mediators. Between the barriers that exist in the context of the intercultural mediation are the difficulty in the interpretation, the fact that there is no common formation of mediators and health agents, the phsychological load and a non-standarized formation. The lack of recognition on the half of the health proffesionals and the economic expense that the introduction of a new professional figure supposes make that the positive effects that provoque the intercultural mediators in the health-care systems are not seen.es
