Abstract
El trabajo social con familias en el ámbito de servicios sociales se beneficia de intervenciones parentales
o familiares como el Programa de Competencia Familiar (PCF). Se trata de programas con materiales didácticos,
donde se trabajan habilidades parentales y familiares y se mide el cambio (programas con evaluación o basados
en la evidencia). En el presente artículo, se estudia el papel del PCF como instrumento para reforzar las relaciones
de los profesionales de servicios sociales (en especial los trabajadores sociales) con las familias. Para ello, se lleva
a cabo un análisis a tres niveles. En primer lugar, se miden los cambios en la dinámica y organización familiar de
las familias implicadas tras su participación en el PCF. En segundo lugar, se recogen las valoraciones de los
profesionales implicados, que intervienen como formadores del PCF. En tercer lugar, se entrevista a las familias
tras la finalización del programa, para conocer de qué maneras valoran el vínculo con servicios sociales después
de la intervención. Los resultados apuntan cambios positivos en las familias, reconocimiento de los profesionales
de la potencialidad del trabajo estructurado con familias (de carácter educativo) para relanzar su trabajo con las
familias y mejores percepciones de los servicios sociales por parte de las familias después del PCF.
Social work with families in social services benefits from family or parental interventions such as the Family Competence Program (FCP). It is a manualised program, in which family and parental skills are trained (evaluated or evidence-based programs). In the current article, it is studied the role of FCP as an ins- trument to strengthen relations of social service professionals (especially social workers) with families. A three-level analysis is undertaken. First, changes in family organization and dynamics are measured, after their participation at FCP. Second, perceptions from professionals are gathered, since they intervene at FCP as facilitators. Third, families are interviewed after the ending of the program, to know in which ways they perceive their bond with social services, after the intervention. Results indicate positive changes in families, recognition of professionals of the potential of the structured work with families (with an educational goal) to re-launch their links with families and better family opinions about social services after FCP.
