Los inicios histórico-educativos de la formación permanente del profesorado de magisterio: Las conferencias pedagógicas de Zaragoza (1887-1914)

Abstract

El presente artículo es un análisis de cómo se iniciaron las primeras tentativas de actualización del profesorado de Magisterio a través de las Conferencias Pedagógicas creadas en 1887 y de su incidencia en Zaragoza hasta 1914. A tal fin se han investigado las Actas de las sesiones así como, por necesidad de contrastar lo que pudieran tener de parcial, tomado en consideración los periódicos de información general y los educativos de la época que nos ocupa. A través de dichas fuentes conoceremos las vicisitudes acaecidas para su inauguración y funcionamiento; la asistencia y el ambiente de las mismas; el carácter de los temas y de los disertantes y, por último, la dinámica y mecanismo de su desarrollo.

This article is an analysis of the first attempts at offering the latest information to the teachers at training Colleges by means of the Pedagogical Lectures created en 1887 and their incidence in Zaragoza until 1914. To this purpose the minutes of the meetings of the above mentioned lectures have been carefully studied, as well as it has been taken into account not only the general information from ordinary newspapers dealing with education at that time, due to a need of making a contrast with what they could have of bias. Through these sources me come to know the vicissitudes which took place when the Lectures were inaugurated and how they were carried out; the people who attended them; the atmosphere which surrounded them; the character of the topics discussed there; the lectures themselves and, finally, the dynamic process and functioning which made their development possible.
