    Design and application of a test to measure the accuracy of receiving in volleyball using the forearm pass for female students

    The primary aim of this study was to design and apply a test to measure the accuracy of receiving in volleyball using the forearm pass for female students. In the current study, third year students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences of the University of Baghdad were recruited as the participants of the study in the academic year 2018/2019. A total of 73 female students were recruited. Based on the findings of this study, the researcher concluded that the accuracy of receiving in volleyball using the forearm pass for the female students analyzed was below average, as most of them showed below average performance. The researcher recommends to adopt the test prepared in this study to assess the level of accuracy of female students, in order to determine their degree of development. The researcher also recommends to pay attention to the development of accuracy among students by giving them more time to train accuracy during the volleyball lessons.

    Contemporary global trends in choreographic art development at the beginning of the 21st century

    The aim of this study was to identify the main contemporary global trends of choreographic art at the beginning of the XXI century and illustrate the practical aspects of existing trends in world choreography through a questionnaire survey. This practical study was conducted through an online questionnaire survey among 52 acting choreographers, members of the National Choreographic Union of Ukraine, 92 students of the Faculty of Choreographic Arts of the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts, and 34 scholars in the field of art history conducting research work within the activities of choreographic art of Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts. Based on the study results, the main features of modern choreography according to the respondents were: improvisation in dance forms; synthesis of ballet tradition with dance innovations; the latest forms of interaction between choreography and other art forms, including synthesis, symbiosis, concentration, and transfer; synthesis of all genres of choreographic art; combination of other art forms (fine arts, theater, and cinema). The respondents were of the opinion that the understanding and use in the choreographic activities of the XXI century person image are designed, not only to have a mutual influence on the elements of socio-cultural space of different countries, but also to determine the trends of future social transformations. Also, choreographic art spreads a new social content in the created human choreographic images of the XXI century due to the specific features of the choreographic manner. In conclusion, contemporary choreographic art is a striking combination of different dance techniques and traditions. Careful research and analysis of this field will contribute to the formation and development of new forms of dance art in the future.

    Effect of interval training and drinking vital water on anaerobic capacity, functional indicators and some skills in volleybal

    The primary objective of this study was to identify the effect of interval training and drinking vital water on anaerobic capacity, functional indicators and some skills in volleyball. The present study had an experimental design of parallel groups, in which participants were divided in two groups: experimental group and control group. The students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Science of the University of Baghdad represented the research community. The participants were selected in a deliberate way. A total of 230 students were present in the research community, of which 20 participants were randomly selected as the sample of the study. All the participants were equally allocated into the two groups, with n=10 in each group. The findings showed that the combination of interval training and drinking vital water had a positive effect on anaerobic capacity, functional indicators and some skills in volleyball.

    Analytical study of the reality of the application of administrative automation in sports clubs

    The primary objective of this study was to identify the obstacles and problems encountered in the work of sports clubs according to the reality of the application of administrative automation. The present study was conducted in the sports club headquarters of Baghdad within the timeframe of October 2021 to December 2021. In the present study, a descriptive approach was used by the researchers in an analytical style according to the nature of the problem to be studied. The research community of the current study was composed of 100 sports clubs in the governorate of Baghdad. A total of 80 questionnaires were filled by the sample participants, who represented a percentage of 80% of the research community. After processing the results statistically using the SPSS software, the researchers concluded that sports clubs encounter a lot of difficulties regarding delay in implementing automation procedures in their administrative work, due to lack of financial allocations and lack of awareness among club workers regarding automation techniques.

    Predictive value of skill performance in terms of physical indicators in 14-year-old football players

    The primary objective of this study was to identify the reality of the physical fitness and skills among young football players in the Najaf Governorate and to find a predictive value for the physical and skills indicators for the selection of junior football players in Najaf Governorate. The researchers used the descriptive approach with two methods of interrelationships. The present study was conducted on the 14 years old players of football schools in Najaf Governorate in the year 2021. The study was conducted in the playgrounds of the football school in the center of Najaf Governorate (Iraq) within the timeframe from January 2021 to March 2021. A total of 40 14-year-old football players participated in the study. Based on the findings of this study, the researchers concluded that the physical fitness of the football players is directly and significantly related to their skill performance.
