- PublicationOpen AccessImagen-tiempo y cine lento contemporáneo. Proximidad con la tradición de la imagen estática(Universidad de Murcia, Servicio de Publicaciones, 2022) González Coves, DanielIn current film production there is a specific category of cinema that has certain parallels with the static image and that has been denominated by various authors as slow cinema, due to its characteristics. In the analysis of the origins and attributes of this type of image, this study starts with the cinematographic concepts introduced by Gilles Deleuze and the differences that he pointed out between what he called the movement image and the time image. The movement image is related to classical cinema and based on montage and action, while time image, on the other hand, presents a type of cinema that, according to this author, arises from the Second World War and whose characteristics are related to the prolonged duration of the shots and its independence in relation to the montage, as well as inaction and stillness. The possible causes of the emergence of this cinematographic image are also exposed, in addition to its later evolution in the following decades through various authors and artistic movements that finally gave shape to what has finally been called slow cinema. This analysis, lastly, allows to raise the hypothesis about the relationship between this type of cinematographic image and the tradition of the still image.
- PublicationOpen AccessOtros Juramentos: Arte Público y pactos de disidencia(Universidad de Murcia, Servicio de Publicaciones, 2022) Bonilla Elizondo, PabloThis paper addresses four projects of Public Art that are generated by a series of dissidence pacts between participants. The purpose of this analysis is to induce a reading of art and its link with political space from a decolonial perspective that allows it to be framed in the relations of power that confront Institutional policies and activism. To achieve such a purpose, the latest developments of Michel Foucault on Socratic thought are proposed as a background, what allows to deconstruct the hegemonies that determine the link between state power and the control of subjectivity.
- PublicationOpen Access“Mirad” y “pensad”: la contribución moral y educativa del cine de animación basado en hechos reales y dirigido al público juvenil(Universidad de Murcia, Servicio de Publicaciones, 2022) Aparicio González, María JesúsThe extraordinary importance of stories, legends and fairy tales for the moral, intellectual and educational formation of children is an indisputable fact. Thanks to the viewing of masterpieces of children’s literature adapted to cinematographic art, children, besides having fun, learn values. Based on the development of a theoretical framework on fables and animated film, and in order to shed light on animation committed to social, gender and political issues, this study exposes two feature films and a short animated film released during the period between the years 2018 and 2022. The objective is to determine the role played by feminist directors in teaching and strengthening the morals and culture of young audiences, through the characters of audiovisual stories starring children immersed in very harsh life circumstances, such as war and exile.
