Elaboración y validación de la escala de dominios de valores televisivos (EDVT)
(Universidad de Murcia. Servicio de Publicaciones, 2007-07-01) Palacios Navarro, Santiago; Medrano Samaniego, María Concepción
This paper presents the developmente and validation of a scale based on the Schwartz dominions. Assuming it is valid, this scale will enable us to coherently interpret empirical data in relation to the proposed theoretical framework. To this end, the paper presents the results obtained on the Television Value Dominion Scale (TVDS), and adaptation of the Schwartz Value Scale (SVS) developed with the aim of applying the said scale to the framework of a research project focusing on television habits and values. The validity results were reached through a multidimensional analysis and enable us to conclude that the TVDS is, structurally speaking, an almost exact replica of the original model. These results enable us to proceed with confidence with our research into personal and television values, since we now have a tool based on a consolidated model, whose validity has been statistically proven.

(Universidad de Murcia. Servicio de Publicaciones, 2007-07-01) Suárez Rodríguez, Jesús; Ferreras Remesal, Alicia
The main objective of this work it is to analyze the incidence of learning strategies in the academic achievement of the university students. In order to get it we developed the LSUSQ Questionnaire (Learning Strategies of University Students Questionnaire) that we validated with a representative sample of students of the two public universities of the city of Valencia in Spain (545 students): the University of Valencia and the Polytechnic University of Valencia. We carried out correlations and multiple regression analysis that reflect the relationship between learning strategies and academic achievement and we also carried out hierarchical eluster analysis, finding four groups of students with diverse strategic use profile: one of them good, and the three other ones, poor. Later, existing differences in grades were examined (ANOVA plus post hoc) between established groups depending on their strategic profile, where significant differences were found benefiting the group with positive strategic profile.

Una herramienta de evaluación para comparar la experiencia académica de los estudiantes universitarios
(Universidad de Murcia. Servicio de Publicaciones, 2007-07-01) Vieira, María José; Vidal, Javier; Barrio, Sara
In this study, a questionnaire widely used at higher education institutions in the United States to assess the extent to which sutdens engage in a variety of activities has been analysed in order to adapt in to the Spanish higher education system. The interest of this adaptation lies in the fact that it enables us to compare our information about the student's perception of their higher education experience with that of the students of a higher education system considered as an international reference. Validity of the questionnaire based on the fact that it ts designed to assess what students do at university isntead of measuring institutional resources. This informatin might be relevant for identifying action lines within the Lisbon Agenda in relation to the international competitiveness of European higher education. In addition, the results show that the questionnaire is useful for gathering information for acreditation and assessment processes carried out in Spain.
