- PublicationOpen AccessEvalCOMIX en Moodle: Un medio para favorecer la participación de los estudiantes en la e-Evaluación(Universidad de Murcia, Servicio de Publicaciones, 2010) Ibarra Sáiz, María Soledad; Cabeza Sánchez, Daniel; León Rodríguez, Alvaro R.; Rodríguez Gómez, Gregorio; Gómez Ruiz, Miguel A.; Gallego Noche, Beatriz; Quesada Serra, Victoria; Cubero Ibáñez, JaioneThe new educational context, implemented through the European Higher Education Area, implies new assessment methodologies based in competences assessment in which students play an active role, participating actively in their own assessment process. Nevertheless, Moodle just allows the assessment of teachers to students. In this study we show how to equip Moodle with the possibility of involving students in assessment, adding two new models: self-assessment and peer assessment. To do so, the tool used is EvalCOMIX, a web service designed specifically with this aim.
- PublicationOpen AccessLas Webquest en la docencia universitaria: aprendizaje colaborativo con LAMS(Universidad de Murcia, Servicio de Publicaciones, 2010) Holgado Sáez, ChristinaWebQuest is a didactic resource based on the constructivist learning and on the cooperative methodology that at the moment is a very successful in Pre-School, Primary and Secondary level. This introductory article aims to show an utilization proposal of this resource at university level with LAMS -Learning Activity Management System- through such virtual environments as Moodle.
- PublicationOpen AccessHerramienta de Apoyo para el Aprendizaje a Distancia de la Lógica en la Ingeniería Informática(Universidad de Murcia, Servicio de Publicaciones, 2010) Huertas, Maria Antonia; Mor Pera, Enric; Guerrero Roldán, Ana ElenaLogic as a subject in computer engineering has characteristics and difficulties similar to those of other mathematics related subjects: very low academic achievement and high dropout. In instrumental disciplines such as logic, an interactive teaching-learning process is fundamental, and the immediate feedback is a key element of academic success. In a traditional face to face logic course the necessary feedback and support is usually provided by the classroom interaction between students and teacher. In contrast, in an e-learning paradigm based on the web, this feature can be provided through an intelligent tutor type tool. This article presents the design, development and implementation of a learning support tool for a non-face to face course of logic in the computer engineering program. This tool follows the perspective of student-centered design to provide the elements necessary for a successful learning experience. It also presents an pilot test with the evaluation of its results and a general discussion on the implementation of such tools for distance learning and self-learning
- PublicationOpen AccessAnálisis de usabilidad y utilidad de las herramientas GDUS+ y LAMS para el diseño pedagógico en un entorno de enseñanza semipresencial universitario(Universidad de Murcia, Servicio de Publicaciones, 2010) Cerezuela Escudero, Elena; García Robles, RocíoIMS Learning Design is a pedagogically neutral specification that allows the creation of environments and educational contents and that promotes the reusability. Furthermore, this specification allows a large range of didactic approaches. IMS Learning is particularly suitable for distance learning through electronic platforms. In addition, there is great interest in using these types of standards in face-to-face and blended learning at universities. However, there are some difficulties that must be overcome when considering these solutions in universities, for example, those related to the computing skills of potential uses, those associated to the usability of editing tools for Learning Units creation, or those linked to human resource costs... This article deals with these issues by analysing the usefulness and usability of two tools based on Learning Design, GDUS + and LAMS, to create virtual Learning Units according to specific pedagogical design approaches.
- PublicationOpen AccessAnálisis temporal de una base de datos de preguntas de autoevaluación para el aprendizaje de un lenguaje de programación(Universidad de Murcia, Servicio de Publicaciones, 2010) García Beltrán, Angel; Martínez, Raquel; Jaén, José Alberto; Tapia, Santiago; Arranz, José MaríaThe AulaWeb platform has being employed as a learning-teaching support system in the Computer Science course of the Industrial Engineering and Chemical Engineering degrees at the ETSII-UPM since 2000-01 academic year. The self-assessment module is one of the most used functionalities, especially in courses with many enrolled students. The system is used as continuous assessment as the academic lectures take place during the course. This activity mark is taken into account to calculate the corresponding course final mark. The self-assessment module is completed with a database of more than 800 questions. The questions database remains constant since 2004-05 course. In this work, the evolution of self-assessment results is analysed in order to detect a possible system efficiency decrease.
