(Universidad de Murcia : servicio de publicaciones, 2026) Casales-Hernández, Maria Guadalupe; Gonzalez Garcia, Sergio Diego; Delgado Cruz, Jessica Pamela; Covarrubias López, Esmeralda Soledad; Ramírez Villegas, Raquel María; Hernández Zavala, Margarita; Sin departamento asociado
Objective: To analyze the scientific and normative evidence available on the conceptualization, domains, and competencies of Advanced Practice Nursing in the Mexican context. Materials and methods: A scoping review was conducted following the PRISMA 2020 statement as a guideline for reporting the search and selection process. The research question was structured using the SPIDER format. Studies published in Spanish and English between January 2015, and June 2025 were included from PubMed, SciELO, BVS, national normative sources, and Google Scholar. Study selection was conducted independently by the researchers, and discrepancies were resolved by consensus. Results: Forty-three studies were included, 67.4% conducted in Mexico. The conceptualization of APN was heterogeneous: 27.9% closely matched the International Council of Nurses (ICN) definition, 41.9% partially, and 30.2% recovered only fragmented elements. The most frequent domains were research, care management, interprofessional collaboration, and clinical quality/safety (>88%), while cultural competence and advocacy were rarely addressed (<30%). Only 44.2% of the documents included a master's degree as a requirement. PHC appeared only marginally as a central conceptual axis of APN. Conclusions:The conceptualization of APN in Mexico is diverse and fragmented. These findings enabled the proposal of a context-adapted definition as an academic contribution to strengthen the understanding of the role and provide evidence to guide its design, regulation, and implementation with an emphasis on Primary Health Care

Objective: To map the scientific evidence on the relationship between functional capacity and self-care in patients with heart failure. Methods:Scoping review conducted in accordance with the Joanna Briggs Institute and guided by PRISMA-ScR. Seven electronic databases and gray literature were consulted. Primary studies with adults (aged 18 years or older) diagnosed with heart failure, published in any language, were included, with independent and double-blind selection. Results: 18 studies were included. Self-care was predominantly assessed using the Self-Care of Heart Failure Index. Functional capacity was primarily assessed using the New York Heart Association functional classification. The relationship between the two is complex and varied, with positive, negative, or absent correlations. Conclusion:The relationship between functional capacity and self-care in patients with heart failure is heterogeneous. Understanding the relationship between self-care and functional capacity can guide healthcare professionals in the assessment and development of personalized interventions (education, exercise support, motivation) for patients with heart failure

Background: According to the Indonesia Ministry of Health in 2023, only 20% of pregnant women adhared to iron supplement intake. Poor adherence to iron supplementation also leads to increased prevalence of maternal anaemia and low birth weight. Objective. This review to analyze the adherence or compliance to iron supplement intake among pregnant women. Methods. The study employed a systematic review and meta-analysis based on the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. During the article selection, the study applied inclusion criteria, such as original research articles conducted in Indonesia, using Indonesian or English language, and published between 2019 and 2024. Additionally, the articles must discuss the effect of adherence to iron supplement intake on the incidence of maternal anemia and low birth weight. They were systematically searched in the following databases: PubMed, Science Direct, Springer, Google Scholar, and Proquest. To facilitate the systematic review analysis, the Odds ratio (OR) was analyzed using Review Manager 5.4. Results. A total of 16 studies (10 articles on maternal anemia and 6 articles on low birth weight) were included in this meta-analysis. The results revealed that maternal anemia had a significant relationship with adherence to iron supplement intake (OR: 0.10, 95%CI 0.06 - 0.14; p-value <0.001) and also low birth weight (OR: 0.42, 95%CI 0.21 - 0.86; p-value: 0.02). Conclusion. Based on this finding, poor adherence to iron supplement intake significantly increase risk of maternal anemia and low birth weight.

(Universidad de Murcia : servicio de publicaciones, 2026) Caballero Huerga, Jorge; Fernández Martínez, Elena; Vázquez Casares, Ana María; Cerrato Sáez, Patricia; Sin departamento asociado
Background: Job satisfaction among healthcare workers is now another indicator of the quality of care provided to users.Aim:The aim of this scoping review was to identify definitions and instruments to measure job satisfaction in the field of pre-hospital emergencies. Methods: A scoping review guided by Arksey and O'Malleys methodological framework was conducted. From the PCO (Participants: prehospital emergency staff (including doctors, nurses, technicians, paramedics, physicians)/ Concept: job satisfaction/ Outcomes: definitions and measure methods), MeSH terms were searched in six databases including PubMed/ Medline, Scopus, WoS, Doaj, Dialnet y JBI systematically since 2015 to 20/03/2023.Results: Out of 323 citations, 16 matched inclusion criteria. Of these studies, only seven describe the meaning of job satisfaction. And only eight explain the measurement instrument, setting out the questions that comprise it and the aspects that are recorded. Conclusion: Considering the relationship between healthcare professionals and their work from a comprehensive perspective in the prehospital emergency setting is of paramount importance in providing quality healthcare.

(Universidad de Murcia : servicio de publicaciones, 2026) Ribeiro, Bruna Stefany Rodrigues; Coelho, Tatiane da Silva; Melo, Laura Pinto Torres de; Nicolau, Ana Izabel Oliveira; Damasceno, Ana Kelve de Castro; Nour, Guilherme Frederico Abdul; Sin departamento asociado
Introduction: Educational technologies (ET) are highly relevant tools for the production, dissemination, and transmission of knowledge. Within the field of Obstetric Nursing, these devices are used for health education and promotion activities, with the purpose of promoting the autonomy of pregnant women and their companions, thus strengthening good practices in childbirth and delivery. Objective:to evaluate the effects of educational technologies developed for labor and delivery.Material and method: A systematic review was developed according to JBI recommendations. The research question was formulated using the PICOS acronym, and its report was described according to PRISMA. Searches were conducted in the Pubmed/Medline, Cochrane, Scopus, EMBASE, CINAHL, Web of Science, and grey literature databases, without idiomatic and/or temporal restrictions. The RoB-2 and Robins-I tools were used to assess the risk of bias, and GRADE was used to assess the quality of evidence. Results: 630 studies were retrieved, of which 7 comprised the final sample of the review. Pregnant women who used TE showed greater knowledge about the signs of labor and delivery, in addition to feeling more prepared to experience these moments. Among the companions, there was greater security and expansion of support actions for women, with increased autonomy and empowerment, which contributed to greater satisfaction of postpartum women in relation to childbirth. Conclusion:the use of educational technologies proved to be effective and promotes improved knowledge and satisfaction of pregnant women and their birth companions when used effectively, obtaining a “strong” degree of recommendation.
