“Mirad” y “pensad”: la contribución moral y educativa del cine de animación basado en hechos reales y dirigido al público juvenil
(Universidad de Murcia, Servicio de Publicaciones, 2022) Aparicio González, María Jesús
The extraordinary importance of stories, legends and fairy tales for the moral, intellectual and educational formation of children is an indisputable fact. Thanks to the viewing of masterpieces of children’s literature adapted to cinematographic art, children, besides having fun, learn values. Based on the development of a theoretical framework on fables and animated film, and in order to shed light on animation committed to social, gender and political issues, this study exposes two feature films and a short animated film released during the period between the years 2018 and 2022. The objective is to determine the role played by feminist directors in teaching and strengthening the morals and culture of young audiences, through the characters of audiovisual stories starring children immersed in very harsh life circumstances, such as war and exile.
