    The subfamily Mystroppiinae Balogh, 1983 is redefined. The character that BAL0GH (1983) gives to separate the subfamilíes Basí/oppiinae Balogh, 1983 and Oppiinae Grandjean, 1954 is considered not enough. The following new subgenera are described: Karenella (Stakarenoppia) n. subgen., with Stachyoppia granulosa Subías and Sarkar. 1983 as type species. Karenella (Glabroppia) n. subgen .. wíth Oppia minutisetosa Hammer, 1982 as type species, Oxyoppia (Oxyoppiella) n. subgen .. with Oppiella polynesia Hammer, 1972 as type species, Oxyoppia (Acicu/oppia) n. subgen., with Oxyoppia? genavensium Mahunka. 1982 as type specíes, and Oxyoppia (Pectinoppia) n. subgen., with the new species Oxyoppia (Pectínoppia) intermedia n, sp. as type species. Finally. the new specíes Corynoppia Jo/iatoides n. sp. is described, and the species Quadroppia pseudocircumíta Mínguez, Ruiz and Subías. 1985. and Quadroppia quadricarinata virgina/is Lions, 1982 are redescribed.
