Abstract
En el universo de variedades formales de los estilos flamencos, el fandango es representativo de una estructura musical singular, compartida por los cantes de Levante, como formas de fandango que son. A la estructura musical del fandango se le ha denominado bimodal. Este artículo aborda el significado del término y su idoneidad para calificar al fandango, realizando un recorrido histórico desde los fandangos preflamencos primitivos hasta los cantes mineros.
