Description
Abstract
The present paper pretends to present the poetry of religious character that is integrated in the Mexican manu- script Flores de Baria Poesía (Mexico, 1577), the first poetic anthology that manifests petrarchism or the petrarchan influence in New Spain. In order to carry out the proposed objective, we focused, on the one hand, on the contents of the codex and, on the other hand, on the analysis of the most representative compositions of this theme
