Description
Abstract
After expressing his discovery as a teenager of Menéndez Pelayo and the confirmation of his fondness for his teacher among his professors at the University of Murcia, the author examines the successes of Mariano Baquero Goyanes through his anthology of texts on narrative by Menéndez Pelayo, published in 1956, and especially in the preceding introductory study to conclude highlighting the virtue and human condition of the spirit that Baquero praised in Menéndez Pelayo’s critical nature. In his relation with literature, Baquero was built with the same moral flesh, highly human, as Menéndez Pelayo, which made both enjoy the literary imagination of the most delightful and happy «child hours».
