Abstract
Piglia es un maestro de la escritura del trauma histórico, y utilizar la historia como escenario para contar historias es su estilo narrativo constante. La ciudad ausente toma el discurso histórico “tamizado” como base para la escritura y utiliza el texto de ficción como lente para reflejar el pasado. Acompañando el proceso de “reconstrucción histórica”, el libro pone de relieve los riesgos potenciales de que la memoria colectiva sea apropiada y manipulada por los discursos de poder en el contexto posmoderno, así como el impacto de este proceso en las memorias individuales. Al centrarse en los dilemas éticos que plantea la elección de la memoria tanto en la dimensión individual como en la colectiva, en cierto modo, esta obra intenta inspirar a los lectores a pensar en la posibilidad de reconstruir la memoria a partir del olvido, de una manera que trascienda la oposición binaria entre historia y ficción, memoria y olvido, lo que proporciona una perspectiva cultural única para que las personas reexaminen el trauma histórico y encuentren su propia identidad.
Abstract: Piglia is a master of writing about historical trauma, and using history as a stage for telling stories is his consistent narrative style. La ciudad ausente takes “sifted” historical discourse as a basis for writing and uses the fictional text as a lens to reflect the past. Accompanying the process of “historical reconstruction”, the book highlights the potential risks of collective memory being appropriated and manipulated by power discourses in the postmodern context, as well as the impact of this process on individual memories. By focusing on the ethical dilemmas posed by the choice of memory in both the individual and collective dimensions, in a way, this work attempts to inspire readers to think about the possibility of reconstructing memory from forgetting, in a way that transcends the binary opposition between history and fiction, memory and forgetting, providing a unique cultural perspective for people to reexamine historical trauma and find their own identity.
