Abstract
El presente trabajo estudia la influencia de tres procedimientos terapéuticos sobre distintas dimensiones de personalidad en niños asmáticos. Se seleccionaron 39 sujetos asmáticos que fueron distribuidos al azar en tres grupos terapéuticos de 13 sujetos
cada uno: Relajación, Desensibilización sistemática como técnica de autocontrol e Inoculación de estrés. Antes y después de la aplicación de cada una de las terapias se
midieron en los pacientes las dimensiones de ansiedad, neuroticismo, rigidez, extraversión, motivación y locus de control. El análisis estadístico de las puntuaciones obtenidas en los cuestionarios indicó cambios significativos en algunas de la dimensiones consideradas.
This paper studies the influence of three psychological treatments on different dimensions of personality in asthmatic children. Thirty nine asthmatic children were selected and randomly assigned to three therapeutic groups of 13 subjects each one: Relaxation, Systematic Desensibilization and Stress inoculation. The personality dimensions of anxiety, neuroticism, rigidity, extraversion, motivation and locus of control were measured before and after the therapy. The statistical analyses of the scores obtained in the questionaries showed signifficant changes in some of the dimensions considered.
