La obra de Gautier de Coinci, ‘Les Miracles de Nostre dame’, es una de las colecciones hagiográfcas más importantes del
siglo XIII. de todos los milagros que recoge, el que más difusión tuvo fue ‘La Leyenda de Teóflo’, un monje que tras pactar con el
Diablo es salvado por la Virgen. Este artículo pretende realizar un análisis de la ilustración de esta historia en el ms. 551 de la Biblioteca
Municipal de Besanzón.
‘Les Miracles de Nostre dame’ was written by Gautier de Coinci in the XIII century. It had an important diffusion, especially the ‘Theophilus Legend’: a history about a monk, who makes a pact with the Devil, anda after he is salved by the Virgin. This article is an attempt to make an iconography study about this miracle in the Besanson Codex (ms. 551).
