En este texto se aportan elementos para contribuir al análisis de la precariedad, tanto en
la extensión como en el valor, de las tierras que fueron puestas en circulación durante el
porfiriato en el estado de Tlaxcala, México. Con este propósito se examina
el registro
notarial de las transacciones realizadas entre 1880 y 1912, con arreglo a la ley de
desamortización y nacionalización de bienes eclesiásticos y civiles, para discutir la idea,
muy arraigada en la historiografía nacional, de que en el mercado d
e tierras sólo
participaba la élite.
This text provides elements to contribute to the analysis of the precario usness, both in the extent and value, of the lands that were put into circulation during the Porfiriato in the state of Tlaxcala, Mexico. For this purpose, the notarial registry of transactions between 1880 and 1912 is examined, in accordance with the law of confiscation and nationalization of ecclesiastical and civil property, to discuss the idea, deeply rooted in national historiography, that in the market of lands only the elite participated.
