dc.description.abstractOrígenes de la población cartagenera de de El Algar, surgida en época árabe, y algunas de sus vicisitudes alrededor de un pozo de agua (Pozo Algar) que dió servicio durante siglos tanto a sus propios vecinos como a los pastores y ganados trashumantes de la Mesta, procedentes de las tierras altas de Cuenca, y que, aparte de sus ganados de ida y vuelta, trajeron hasta aquí una imagen de la Virgen de Los Llanos que se quedó definitivamente como Patrona de los algareños.
dc.description.abstractOrigins of the village of El Algar in Cartagena, which arised in the Arabic period, and some of its ups and downs around a water well (Pozo Algar) used during centuries by not only the villagers but also the sheperds and the nomad herds of the Mesta, coming from the highlands of Cuenca. Together with their herds of going and back, they brought an imagine of the Virgen de Los Llanos which rested here defi nitely as the patron saint of El Algar.
